Equipment

Below you can find details of all the equipment you will need to start your journey with us in September.

Students are expected to have the following basic items of equipment with them for all of their lessons:

• Compass*
• Pens (black ink only)
• Pencils, eraser and sharpener
• Pencil case
• Protractor*
• Purple pen
• School bag
• Scientific calculator
• Reading book
• Ruler
• Whiteboard Pen

Textbooks and specialised equipment will be issued on loan. Please note that students are required to pay for any loss or damage to these items.

Students may have a clearly named bottle of water with them in lessons, which can be refilled during break times at one of the several drinking fountains situated around the school.

Personal Belongings

Student lockers are allocated in the first few weeks of the academic year. A payment of £5 is required in order to rent the locker for the five years that students are with us. Should students lose their key, a further payment of £5 is required in order for us to order a replacement.

All belongings should be clearly named, especially coats and all items in PE kits. If students mislay any property at school, they should check Lost Property at Student Reception. Lost PE and games equipment is stored in the PE department.

We recommend that students refrain from bringing valuables into school. The school accepts no liability for loss, damage or theft of personal property on our premises.

Mobile Phones and Technology

Mobile phones can be brought to school, but must remain off or on silent and completely out of view on-site for the whole of the school day. This also includes headphones, speakers, tablets and smart watches. During the school day students are only permitted to use their phones under the direct supervision or guidance of a member of staff.
